One Great Tip: The 5-Second Website Test

Quick, count to five:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

That’s how long it takes for someone to decide whether it’s worth it to stay on your website.

Five seconds is like…the attention span of a goldfish!

We all need people to stay longer than five seconds, right?

But how?

Here’s the tip:

Answer the big question that’s swirling around in their heads…

“What’s in it for me if I stay here?”

Now, jump over to your website and count to five while you scan your home page (no cheating!).

I’ll wager you’re going to think your home page content could be more impactful.

And do a better job of encouraging your ideal customers to stay…longer than five seconds.

Am I right?

Exercise to try:

Take a moment, close your eyes, and get inside your ideal customer’s head. Try to think the way they do. And from there, you can figure out what you need to say that makes them understand…

·  You get them
·  You can help them with their problem
·  And, you promise to do so

Does it feel a little challenging? It can be…

That’s why I created a formula for that.

It’s one of the cool things to learn in my new training…
